Conducting Reference Checks

As part of the screening process, the WWFY reserves the right to conduct reference checks on any individual who may potentially join the organization as an employee or volunteer.

WWFY recognizes the importance of conducting screening to assess a candidate’s overall qualifications before joining WWFY. As part of the screening process, the WWFY reserves the right to conduct reference checks on any individual who may potentially join the organization as an employee or volunteer.   

Reference check process: 

  • Human Resources will launch the reference check utilizing a third-party platform called Checkster.  
  • Candidates will provide at least three references. Each of the references will be provided with an electronic questionnaire to complete which assesses the candidates’ background and experiences.  
  • Once the references are completed, Human Resources will review and confirm the reference check meets the WWFY standards.  
  • Once the reference check is completed and confirmed, the candidate can move forward in the hiring process.
