WWFY recognizes the importance of screening volunteers for potential suspected cases of abuse.
WWFY recognizes the importance of screening volunteers for potential suspected cases of abuse. Therefore, WWFY has implemented several methods to screen volunteers. WWFY requires all volunteers to complete the following:
- Volunteer application.
- Background screening which includes a federal statewide criminal check, county criminal check, national sex offender check and a SS verification.
- A minimum of three references.
*** BOD is not required to complete a volunteer application or a reference check.
In addition, the WWFY requires all volunteers to review and sign the volunteer code of conduct and complete the child abuse prevention training.
